Last week students tested their geographical skills against 743 schools across Australia for the 2018 Australian Geography Competition. Geography is an important subject which develops a student’s understanding of the spatial interrelationships between people and place. It helps students appreciate the complex nature of local, regional and global, social, economic, and environmental interactions.
Students performed to a very high level in the competition this with year Ryan Hoang placing in the top 1% and Mark Dunkley in the top 3 % in their year level across Australia. St John’s students achieved 7 high distinctions, 10 distinctions and 11 credits.
Well done on your efforts!
