Author visits Primary School
The students of the Primary School recently were transported into the world of being an author by the amazing Peter Carnavas. A highly acclaimed author and illustrator of many fabulous books, Peter spoke with the children from Prep right through to Year Six.
The idea that everyone can draw if you can draw a circle, a line and a dot allowed every child to produce a creative animal that some never had felt was possible before. Some illustrators’ tricks were shared and many laughs created with his amazing drawings.
The older children were also keen to learn tips about the ways to make a story from some very boring starting ideas. Peter kindly donated an original watercolour based on his latest book that he whipped up in mere minutes, to the delights of an amazed audience. It is currently being framed and will be hung in the library for all to share.
