Vocational Education and Training (VET) is education and training, which provides students with occupational or work-related knowledge and skills. VET also includes programs which provide the basis for subsequent vocational programs.

The College develops programs to allow students to combine vocational studies with their general education curriculum. Students participating in VET continue to work towards their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). The VET component of their studies gives them credit towards a nationally recognised VET qualification. In this way, participants can keep their options open to pursue further full-time or part-time vocational training or to move into tertiary studies after College.

The College offers a range of VET certificate courses in the areas of Information Technology, Business Administration and Fitness. The College also has links with many Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) where students can undertake VET courses not offered by the College.

College-based apprenticeships and traineeships (SATs) allow College students, typically in Years 11 and 12, to work with an employer as paid employees while continuing with their senior studies.

The College has partnership arrangements with Axiom College and Binnacle Training. These agreements allow the College to deliver quality programs on behalf of our partners.
