International Student Donates Sundial Project to St John’s Community

25.11.2016

Duc Dinh, an international Year Ten student has designed and constructed an innovative sundial as part of his Technology Studies assessment. His main idea was to create a ‘sustainable’ project to help the school community.

Part of the process included researching various ideas/methods (analogue clocks to digital clocks before deciding on an environmental solution of the sun dial concept). Throughout Term Four Duc constructed his solution as per his design folio which he had completed prior. Duc’s hard work and dedication to the task is very inspirational. Teacher and Middle School Coordinator, Mr Wayne Pascoe, was also exceptionally pleased with the level of work that he presented.  Duc is returning home to Vietnam to continue his study and has presented the sundial to the Head of College as a farewell gift to St John’s.

We wish Duc well for the future and thank him for donating his wonderful project to the College.
