Old Collegian Mark Daniels speaks about Road Safety

24.8.2017

Old Collegian Mark Daniels (2010) spoke to St John’s Year 11 and Year 12 students today regarding Road Safety. Mark who was involved in a road traffic accident in December 2015 tragically had to have his right leg amputated. from above the knee. This accident was life changing for Mark and he has had to face a number of setbacks along his long road to recovery. Mark soon realised that in order to be mentally strong he also needed to be physically strong.

Mark now focuses his energy in setting and achieving his fitness goals with competing in his first triathlon next year and participating in the Invictus Games and Paralympics on that list. Mark is also inspiring others through his motivational speaking engagements. Mark continues to reside in Perth, WA and continues his service with the Royal Australian Navy. Thank you Mark for taking the time to come back to St John’s and we wish you all the very best for the future.
