A St John’s Education

A St John’s education is an exciting and stimulating journey where students learn in a respectful and fun environment and benefit from three core elements of learning and development.

Curriculum – where they develop core competencies, skills and knowledge

Co-curriculum – where they can pursue excellence in the arts, music and sport

Wellbeing – where they can develop leadership and life skills and understanding through a holistic approach to their social, emotional and spiritual needs

Our mission at St John’s is to turn their inherent curiosity into a passion for lifelong learning and we do this in a myriad of ways. Our teachers cater to each students’ needs, abilities and learning styles resulting in a community of happy, confident and engaged learners. Throughout the College, our students are encouraged to seek out the International Baccalaureate (IB) Learner Profiles in their core activities – to be inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced and reflective.

Foremostly, our students are engaged in stimulating and exciting activities that develop a love of learning and build skills that will serve them well to face the challenges of the future. We are proud to have high achieving intellectuals, athletes and artists in our student body, as well as those committed to making a positive impact on the world. We can rely on our students to turn thought into meaningful action. As they experience success, their confidence will grow, as will their resilience as they turn failures into opportunities.

By attending a co-educational school St John’s students are experiencing the real world. They benefit from both male and female mentors and understand the collaboration both genders create when interacting together. At St John’s, we recognise and value every student from Kindergarten to Year 12 as an individual. We believe that each student’s personality, contribution and unique sense of perspective brings a richness to our school community that benefits us all. Demonstrating our core values, our students act with love, courage, community and justice, as they challenge themselves to reach intellectual and personal excellence.
