A day with Athletics Superstar Sally Pearson

St John’s Year 11 student Fallon Wiedemeijer, has had a motivational and instructive training day with Athletics Olympic Champion Sally Pearson.

Sally gave Fallon some great hurdling tips, strength workouts as well as some advice on how to cope with the mental pressures when competing.

Fallon has since gone on to run the 100m hurdles for the first time at a Gold Class event and achieved an Australian Athletics Qualifying time, enabling her to represent Queensland at the Nationals in Olympic park in Sydney.
