Farewell to Exchange Students Enrico and Arthur
At the beginning of Term Three, St John’s welcomed two exchange students, Enrico from Italy and Arthur from France.
During their time in Australia both students were hosted by the one homestay family. Enrico and Arthur explained that they really enjoyed staying with this particular family as the family exposed them to different activities, which included climbing the Story Bridge, hiking through a rainforest in New South Wales and bike riding along the water at the Gold Coast.
As both students headed home, they expressed that they would mostly miss their news friends, the homestay family and the warm weather. In regards to their future study plans, both students will complete high school in two years’ time, followed by university. Enrico hopes to study Medicine and Arthur’s goal is to study Business or Science.
Enrico and Arthur were asked “What have you most enjoyed learning about at St John’s”?
It was interesting to find out that both students did not have the option of studying hospitality, legal studies or graphics back at home and as a result both Enrico and Arthur thoroughly enjoyed these subjects at St John’s.
It is clearly evident that the experience has had a very positive effect on both students as both Enrico and Arthur have both communicated their interest in returning to Australia, to either study or visit Australia’s popular holiday destinations.
St John’s wishes both Enrico and Arthur all the best for their future studies. Both St John’s staff and students have thoroughly enjoyed hosting the students.
