You would know them as libraries, but we call them Information Resource Centres (IRC) because they are so much more than just a place for books.
Our state-of-the-art centres at both primary and secondary campuses boast extensive teaching areas and rich learning resources.
From Year 4, every student has all their learning resources on tap via wireless connectivity with their touchscreen laptop.
Each IRC is staffed by a Librarian and a Teacher Aide who provide a wide range of relevant, appropriate and high-quality print, multimedia, and electronic resources.
These resources are carefully selected to match the curriculum, your child’s learning style, their abilities and their recreational reading interests.
IRC staff also foster your child’s research skills using computers and the extensive book collection.
Both facilities are open to students before and after school as well as at lunch time.
