Old Collegian Chace Eldridge is Running the Distance

Fri, 29/11/2019Posted by:

Since graduating in 2017, Old Collegian Chace Eldridge wanted to find something that would challenge him both mentally and physically, this is when he found his love for Trail Running.

In May this year, Chace entered Neverest, where he ran 44 laps of Camp Mountain until he climbed the equivalent of Mt Everest. In August Chace placed second in the Australian Junior Mountain Running Championships, where he was chosen for the Australian Mountain Running Team and named the Queensland Trail Running Champion.

Chace recently represented Australia at the World Junior Running Championships in Argentina where he placed 33rd and was the first Australian across the finish line. This was no mean feat, being a cold 2 degrees and pouring rain, turning the trails into mud slides, however this was a great experience for Chace to compete against top athletes in the sport.

Chace now has his eyes set on competing at the World Championships in Spain and the Australian Championships in Canberra all while continuing to grow his personal training business @chacingfitness at Iron Gym QLD and studying Aviation at Griffith University where he strives to be a commercial pilot within the next 2 years.

Well done Chace! #oldcollegian
