Old Collegian Receives the QUT Acting Jennifer Blocksidge Memorial Award

Congratulations to QUT Acting student and St John’s Old Collegian Egan Sun-Bin (class of 2017) who has been the latest recipient of the Jennifer Blocksidge Memorial Award. The award offers an outstanding Acting graduate the opportunity to further pursue their development in their chosen field.
Egan intends on using his award to develop his craft in directing and help provide more opportunities for young emerging artists to work in theatre. After a challenging year for the live performing arts sector, there will be fewer opportunities for those graduating or coming into the industry to find or create work. “I want to be able to create a richer and diverse performing arts industry.” Egan says. Egan has recently returned to St John’s to workshop with our current Year 9, 10 and 11 Drama students where he inspired and assisted our students in learning various acting techniques.
