St John’s Class of 2020 received outstanding results in the first year of Queensland ATAR.

In 2020, two St John’s students were awarded ATAR results of 99.8 and one 99.7 achieving St John’s highest ATAR results and placing them in the top 120 students in Queensland.

Five students achieved the equivalent of an OP1 and eight students achieve a perfect score of A grades in all six of their Year 12 (Unit 3 and 4) subjects.

27% of St John’s Year 12 cohort achieved an ATAR of 95 or above placing them in the top 5% of the state, with 38% of the cohort receiving 90 and above placing them in the top 10% in Queensland.

For St John’s this is one of the highest percentage academic results in the history of the College with 18% of the Year 12 cohort achieving an equivalent of OP 1-2 and 33% OP 1-5.

St John’s Principal, Mrs Maria McIvor said “this has been a tumultuous year, to say the least; however, the Class of 2020 will be remembered as the most resilient of seniors at St John’s. These exceptional outcomes are reflective of the hard work and commitment of our Year 12 cohort, the outstanding preparation and professionalism of our teaching staff and the ongoing investment in academic strengthening underway at St John’s Anglican College.”

Congratulations to all students and staff on what has been an outstanding outcome in an exceptional year.
