This is your STEM TOUR  information session invitation….

Information night for the 2020 STEM Japanese Tour is Wednesday 20th Feb 6:30 to 7 pm – Parents please bring your student to the session.

The STEM tour will run in the 2020 June/July holidays.  There are limited spaces with the cost is yet to be confirmed. GET Educational Tours will be assisting St John’s with the organisation of the tour.

During information session Mrs Sharon Singh and Ms Sharon McHugo will go into more detail about the tour and will be able to answer all questions.

P&F Welcome to 2019 Event

P&F Welcome to 2019 Event

Please join the P&F Association together with the Friends of The School team on Friday 22 February from 6.00pm at the Primary Campus, Alpine Place to welcome you to the new school year at St John’s Anglican College. We are delighted to also welcome Principal, Mrs Maria McIvor to the event to meet our St John’s community.

Come along and enjoy a free sausage sizzle, cold drinks are available for purchase on the night with a gold coin donation with all proceeds going to the P&F. Tea and Coffee refreshments will also available. We would like to thank Inflatable World, Darra who have kindly supported our event, with six lucky door prize vouchers up for grabs valued at $15.00 each.


This event is proudly organised and run by the F.O.S. “Friends Of School” team a subcommittee of the P&F Association and we look forward to welcoming new and existing families to our first event of the year!

Inter-Schools Chess Competition

This terms Brisbane Secondary Inter-Schools Chess event details are below.

When: Thursday 28 February
Where: Nudgee College, entrance via Sandgate Road
Registration: 8.30am – 9.15am
Start Time: 9.30am (approx)
Finish Time: 2.30pm

There will be 2-3 divisions on the day with Prizes awarded for 1st – 3rd individual and 1st to 3rd team in each division, and merit ribbons awarded for 4.5/7 or higher. Best of luck to our St John’s Team!

Guest speaker, Stephen Tait – Chief Executive Officer, Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland (CCIQ) joined the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland in January 2012 as Chief Executive Officer and is fiercely committed to ensuring Queensland’s 400,000 small businesses continue to be the driving force of the state’s social and economic prosperity.

Stephen is an entrepreneurial and commercially astute business leader who has guided CCIQ though a significant period of change which has seen the Chamber post its fourth year of significant growth in its membership, profitability and media exposure to reach unprecedented levels.

Stephen is a noted speaker, passionate advocate and driver of change and represents CCIQ and the interests of Queensland business as a member of several Government, Enterprise and Non-Profit Boards.

The breakfast provides a great opportunity for St John’s Year 12 Business and Legal Studies students to access key members of our wider business community in a formal setting.  Our Year 12 students are about to embark on their professional careers, spending time with members of the business community will be invaluable to them.
