Scholarships and Bursaries

St John’s Anglican College offers a small number of Scholarships for excellence in Academic, Sporting or Performing Arts pursuits each year. Scholarships are available for students entering Year 7 and Year 10.

Scholarship holders are expected to maintain development in their scholarship pursuit, represent the College as appropriate, always participate fully in all College programs and uphold the College values and expectations.

Scholarships are only available to students who are Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents.

These Scholarships are available free of means test and are awarded based on results of the Edutest Scholarship Exam for Academic, a physical sports test in the case of the RISE Sporting Scholarship and audition-based for Performing Arts together with providing evidence of also having met minimum recommended requirements as outlined below.

Students not currently enrolled or attending St John’s and applying for a Scholarship must complete the St John’s Anglican College Online Application via the College website, including the payment of the $100 Application Fee. This must be completed before the Academic Scholarship Edutest exam and on application for the RISE sports and Performing Arts scholarships.

Scholarships will be reviewed each semester and are subject to continued excellence in the given scholarship (academic, sports and performing arts) and adherence to the College policies and procedures. The awarding and continuation of a Scholarship is at the discretion of the Principal.

Scholarships apply to tuition fees only and does not cover general uniforms, textbooks, stationery, extracurricular activities, camps, etc.

St John’s also offers a limited number of Bursaries – part remission of fees for one year – to enrolling students to the College.

These Bursaries are to assist students who would greatly benefit from a St John’s Anglican College education, but who, without financial aid, would be unable to attend.

Bursary applications are means-tested, and the financial needs of the family will be taken into consideration. Bursaries are allocated at the discretion of the Principal.

Current families of the College should contact the Finance Department to discuss fee relief.
